GE Johnson Scholarship Program

At GE Johnson we believe in the Pursuit of Excellence in all things, but especially construction. We believe that with a bit of encouragement, that pursuit is in reach of all people. We encourage both high school and college students to pursue excellence through the GE Johnson Scholarship Program. We offer three separate scholarship benefits.

  1. We offer scholarships to the graduating high school senior sons, daughters, and legal dependents of our employees.
  2. We also have a scholarship program available to Kansas State University full time students majoring in Construction Science or Civil Engineering.
  3. Finally, we offer (2) Gilbert E. Johnson Scholarships annually to students enrolled at an ACCE accredited Construction Management Program where we recruit. Each scholarship is to a maximum amount of $5000.

Employee High School Scholarship Program
At GE Johnson, we offer five (5) scholarships to the dependent children of our employees each year. Students enrolled in a Construction Management/Engineering program are eligible for a $1000.00 maximum scholarship. All other students are eligible for a $500.00 scholarship.
To qualify, each scholarship candidate must be:

  • A Graduating High School Senior
  • Accepted to a four year Bachelors Degree program at an accredited college or university.
  • Accepted to a two year Associates Degree program at an accredited college or university.

Each scholarship candidate will be requested to submit a 1000 word essay to Jim Johnson, President of GE Johnson, entitled "How and Why I Pursue Excellence" by March 1 of your senior year.
